Hello Students and Parents—Here’s a little information to help you to get to to know me better. 

Professional Information:  I am currently in my twelfth year of teaching.  I graduated from Texas A&M-CC in 1992 with a BA in English.  I received my teaching certification in elementary education two years later and began teacing in 1995.  I returned back to the university in 2005 to obtain my Masters in Reading.  December 2007 I finally graduated with my MS degree.  I also do professional workshops for other charter schools specializing in reading curriculum. 

Personal Information:  I am a proud parent two elementary children, myself.  My daughter is in third grade and my son is in first grade.  For enjoyment I like to read historical fiction and suspense thriller books, write poetry, bike ride with my children, take long walks in parks, and listen to my Ipod.  I am originally from North Carolina but moved to Texas nearly twenty years ago—I feel like a Native Texan now!  Yee Haw!!  My hope is to one day move back to North Carolina to once again experience the four seasons and be with my family.
